Challenge or social need:
Appropriate preparation of adult educators is discussed in the Program of Non-formal Education and Continuous Learning for 2016–2023. It warns regarding the threat that increasing needs of adult learning in Lithuania could face the lack of competent adult educators. It indicates that andragogical competences are very important for adult educators, they directly relate to the quality of adult learning.

"Yetişkin eğitimcisinin misyonu: öğrenciye kanat verme" projesi beş yetişkin eğitim kurumundan oluşan bir konsorsiyum tarafından hazırlanmıştır: Litvanya Yetişkin Eğitimi Derneği (LSŠA), Kaunas Bölgesi Eğitim Merkezi, Panevezys Bölgesi Eğitim Merkezi, Yaşam ve İnanç Enstitüsü ve Raseiniai Bölgesi Eğitim Yardım Masası.
Proje, AB ve Litvanya'nın eğitim politikasına ilişkin stratejik belgelerinde tanımlanan çağdaş yetişkin eğitimcisinin (andragog) gereksinimlerine cevap verecek şekilde hazırlanmıştır.
Konsorsiyum tarafından sağlanan hareketliliğin amacı, Konsorsiyum üyelerinin personelinin üç alandaki yeterliliklerini artırarak yetişkin öğrencilerin öğretim ve öğrenim kalitesini artırmaktır:
- Yetişkin öğrencilerin güçlendirilmesi ve kendi kendine öğrenme becerilerinin arttırılması
- Yetişkin öğrencilerin güçlendirilmesi ve kendi kendine öğrenme becerilerinin arttırılması
- Kariyer gelişimi, yaşam, ileri eğitim ve profesyonel yardım sağlama konularında danışmanlık.
Proje fikri, uygulaması ve sonuçları LSŠA web sitesi ve LSŠA Facebook aracılığıyla, Konsorsiyum ortaklarının web siteleri ve Facebook'ları aracılığıyla ve yerel, bölgesel ve Ulusal medyada ve EPALE'de yaygınlaştırılacaktır.
